DVE Trends

Key Insights

Federal indictment of former President Donald Trump provokes increase in violent rhetoric and election fraud conspiracy theories. In DVE spaces, the indictment is being framed as the Biden Administration’s attempt to “weaponize” the Department of Justice and U.S. government against Trump. Accerlationist and incendiary language is being widely employed, underscored by calls for civil war.

New Anarchist ‘counter-information’ project may encourage violent action within the movement. The ‘Unravel project’ is compiling nationwide acts of Anarchist vandalism and violence, with the aim of uniting groups and promoting direct action. The attempt is the first observed by the Threat Bulletin to compile such acts of violence in a single source, potentially uniting Anarchist groups nationwide and inspiring further direct action within the movement.

DVE groups distributing flyers to promote white supremacist film ‘Defiant’. White Lives Matter, Active Clubs, Patriot Front, and the Goyim Defense League are all alleged to have participated in a flyering campaign to promote the film during Juneteenth. The film, produced by activist Devon Stack, advances Great Replacement and White Genocide conspiracy theories. The joint campaign also provides evidence of increasing collaboration between extremist groups.
